Here's a brief description of the types of systems we have successfully developed and installed:

Asset Tracking

Asset Tracking Systems keep track of items that are labeled with a unique barcoded identifier. As assets are moved from place to place, they are scanned with a barcode scanner. The asset's number, location, date, and time of scan are recorded in a database of transactions resulting in an accurate history of movement for each item.

Inventory Control

Inventory Control Systems keep track of quantities on hand of items that are labeled with a non-unique barcoded identifier. The barcode usually represents the equivalent of a part number. Functions for shipping, receiving, and putting away inventory are part of the solution.

Work In Process

Work In Process Systems keep track of individual work orders or "jobs" as they move through each assembly process in a manufacturing facility. Data collection points are set up along the way to collect information about a particular job's status as it moves through the manufacturing process. The system is able to display a variety of management reports where inefficiencies can be pinpointed.

Web Data Collection

Web-based data collection systems employ the use of portable barcode scanning terminals that collect data in the field and upload it to the host system via the internet. This can be accomplished using a dial-up, high speed, or cellular Internet connection. The data collected can be transferred to the host's database through a variety of interfaces including email, direct database log-in, third party synchronization, or XML.
